Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting

Here are some tried and true methods to help you get the most out of your device and experience.

  1. Use a device and e-liquid that suits YOUR needs. One of the greatest things about vaping, is that you can customize your entire set-up to your preferences! Vaping with a device that is great for your friend doesn’t mean it’s what’s best for you. If you are new to vaping, use our Selection Guide to help you find the best products for your needs.
  2. Vaping isn’t smoking. Vaping can provide similar aspects of smoking, but it will not simulate smoking exactly. If you are transitioning from smoking to vaping, it is important to keep this in mind.  Vaping does simulate smoking by allowing the user to inhale nicotine into the lungs and satisfying the oral fixation many smokers have. Using e-liquid in a higher nicotine and propylene glycol will provide a throat hit similar to smoking.
  3. Keep Extras. Make sure that you always have a new coil, battery or two, and e-liquid close by.
  4. Check your connections often for e-liquid buildup. Doing this often is important to ensure that your battery and vape work properly.
  5. Do not vape your tank dry. Keeping your e-liquid above the coil’s air holes will increase the life of your coil and prevent dry burn.
  6. Do not drain your battery. Charging your battery at 50% or more will increase the life of your device.
  7. Don’t pull to hard when inhaling. This can lead to flooding of your coil and cause you to suck the e-liquid into your mouth.
  8. Make sure to put a few drops of e-liquid on your new coil, before you install it. Doing this will prevent dry burn and also extend the life of your coil.
  9. Don’t over-tighten. Whether it’s your coil, or your tank, keep all your connections “finger-tight”. Over-tightening can lead to leaks and over-torquing. If you need a tool to remove your coils, or tank, it’s too tight.
  10. Drink plenty of water! Dehydration is common for a new vaper. Stay hydrated!
